PATSY WELLS OFFICIAL WEB PAGE

I was born in Lafayette Indiana, November 4, 1950. I was the second of 5 childrenborn to my parents Virginia Marie and Kevin Edward Byrne. We moved to Norfolk, Virginia where I grew up climbing trees and running around barefoot.

I went to college only a few blocks from my house and studied Chemistry and Oceanography. I moved to Louisiana where I worked for ten yearsstudying marshes. I married John Wells and 4 years later we had a daughter, Loretta, three years later we had a son, Gaelen. We moved to Beaufort in 1984, and in February of this year we moved to Morehead City.
My hobbies include cooking, gardening, painting and music. I learned how to play the violin when I was 18 after nearlyperishing for 10 years from wanting to learn. It is a hobby that entrances me every day. In the early 1990's I learned to "Fiddle", took up the Mandolinand even attempted to play a button accordian. Singing soon followed that and of course guitar to accompany my singing. Recently I had my first hit recordingCalico Creek Waltzwritten by Connie Mason, which has become a regular feature on the WTEB play list during the 3-4 O'Clock hour.
